Starting Your Child

Step 1:   Contact Tailored Teaching

If your child is in grades 6 - 12 contact Levi via phone, text or email. Please prepare to briefly discuss your child's learning needs, why you are seeking tutoring, and anything else that may be helpful for us to know.

Step 2:   Book an Assessment

Typically, an assessment is arranged for one subject area. A literacy assessments includes reading, writing, and spelling. This provides a full 'picture' of the student's literacy skills. If you are seeking Test Preparation, please indicate during our initial conversation if your student is preparing for an SAT Suite exam (PSAT 8/9, PSAT10/NMSQT, or SAT) or the ACT. No assessment is needed for College Application workshops.

Assessment provides precise information on your child's strengths and areas for growth, and is provided to you as a thorough written report. There is no obligation to then proceed with tutoring. Regardless of that choice, knowing where your child 'is at' equips them and you to better support their learning.

Assessment takes approximately one hour. It occurs in a supportive environment and is designed to be an enjoyable experience.

The cost for assessment is $100.
