A regular time-slot allows families to plan with certainty and supports continuity of learning. That said, students get sick, weather gets hazardous, life gets hectic and sooner or later everyone needs a vacation! So what happens when you...
Cancel at short notice (less than 7 days prior)
Unfortunately, sessions cancelled within 7 days can not easily be reused. Families have two options:
they may pay a half rate ($30)
they may pay the full rate and book a complementary make-up session to take at a future date. The make-up session is arranged as soon as possible, according to the availability of both the family and teacher. Saturday time slots are offered for make-up sessions on the last Saturday of every month. The pending session does not expire, but only one make-up session may be scheduled at a time. This means that any additional sessions cancelled at short notice before the make-up has been held must be paid for at half rate.
For both options, payment must be made on the day the session was originally scheduled to take place.Â
Sessions that are cancelled after the session time has started must be paid for at the full rate and can not be made up.
Cancel with notice (more than 7 days prior)
Families are able to cancel without payment to accommodate planned absences such as family vacations. For clarity, written notification must be provided by via text or email at least 7 days prior. If a family cancels multiple sessions, the first two sessions can be missed without payment. The remaining sessions are payable at the full rate session to hold that time-slot for your child until they recommence. Extended periods of absence without payment can not be accommodated due to the limited number of time-slots available and the need to offer a start to wait-listed students.
